Vanguard is an H-shape monometal yo-yo by One Drop YoYos, released in December 2015 as an affordable, US-made option for players buying their first metal yo-yo. It uses a tapped axle instead of Side Effects, has an open hub for finger spins, and has accent marks along the catch zone.
It is machined from 6061 aluminum, 55.9 mm in diameter and 41.4 mm wide, and weighs 67.5 g. The 2016 Gauntlet has the same diameter but is 5.93 mm wider.
Vanguard also comes in a nickel-plated finish.
