The first LUFTVERK yo-yo made with the brand's "Injection Machined" process, 66.7-gram Plastic Fulvia is a polycarbonate addition to the «Fulvia» series.
The process combines two kinds of plastic yo-yo. Older YoYoJam-style designs such as Skyva and First Base have a threaded nut molded into the body, but injection molding leaves them with more vibe and a less refined surface. Plastic Fulvia keeps the molded-in nut: the body is injection-molded as a blank, then fully CNC-machined, giving it the finish of a machined yo-yo.
Prototypes were first shown at the US National YoYo Contest. Plastic Fulvia later became the base for Hybrid Fulvia, which adds aluminum weight rings, and its success led Caribou Lodge to remake its first yo-yo with the same process as Plastic Peak.
