Modular 44 (Mod44) is a 6061 aluminum yo-yo by Freshly Dirty with interchangeable POM rims. One hub takes every rim set, and O-rings keep the rims aligned. It was released in 2021.
It ships with Supersport rims installed: 56.4 mm in diameter, 43.7 mm wide and 63.1 grams. Coupe and Cruiser rim sets and spare slim O-rings come in the box. The Coupe brings the diameter down to 55.25 mm (61.3 grams), and the Cruiser takes it up to 62.4 mm (63.8 grams). It comes set up unresponsive, with a grooved C-size bearing and 19 mm response pads.
Freshly Dirty published the rim design as open source, with design files for anyone who wants to design and 3D-print their own rims; 3D printing was also used to prototype the yo-yo. It also comes in the "Spinkult" edition, with a clear polished body and special engraving, shipped in a white tube instead of the regular one.
