The signature yo-yo Gentry Stein used to win the 2013 US Nationals and the World YoYo Contest 2014 in Prague, Shutter is a 6061 aluminum monometal by YoYoFactory.
Released in 2013 as Gentry's third signature model, it measures 56 mm in diameter and 44.4 mm in width, about 1 mm wider than Super G, his first. It comes set up for unresponsive play, with a Center Trac bearing and 19mm response pads.
One of the most widely played metal yo-yos, Shutter grew into a line of its own. Gentry won his second World title in 2019 with the Shutter Wide Angle, a wider follow-up, and the line later added the bi-metal Shutter Elite. His plastic signature, Replay PRO, followed in 2015.
